Your doctor can refer you for expert genetic diagnostic and genetic counselling services, providing assistance, advice and education in managing genetic conditions. Genetic Health Service NZ operates clinics throughout the country with their staff of Clinical Geneticists and Genetic Counsellors. Genetic services are publicly funded for NZ residents as they are part of New Zealand’s public health system.
